Mobile Lipid Clinic Partners with Scientific Software Tools to Develop a Global CHD Risk Assessment Program
MEDIA, PA March 17, 2002 - Scientific Software Tools, Inc. (SST) recently partnered with Michael H.
Davidson, M.D. of Mobile Lipid Clinic to develop The Mobile Lipid Clinic™ Global
CHD Risk Assessment software program. The Mobile Lipid Clinic program is a Palm™
and Windows® OS-based tool that assists health care professionals in the
evaluation and treatment of high blood cholesterol and assessment of Coronary
Heart Disease (CHD) risks in their patients.
The Mobile Lipid Clinic program, which incorporates the latest National
Cholesterol Education Program Expert Panel On Detection, Evaluation, and
Treatment of High Blood Cholesterol in Adults (Adult Treatment Panel III)
guidelines, provides health care professionals with a quick and easy way to
calculate their patients cardiovascular risk variables and treatment goals. By
entering patient test results and history and physical data into the Mobile
Lipid Clinic Palm or Windows desktop program health care professionals can
provide their patients with a statistical evaluation of their equivalent CHD
age, based on the Framingham Heart Study. The health care professional and
patient can then review the various graphs and treatment, medication and diet
instruction reports that are generated at the time of the visit. The Mobile
Lipid Clinic program also tracks patient visit data over time, allowing health
care professionals to measure the progress of their patients' treatment and
medication goals.
The Mobile Lipid Clinic program was introduced at the American College of
Cardiology conference in Atlanta on March 17-21, 2002 and is available as a free
download at http://www.mobilelipidclinic.com.
