Scientific Software Tools Delivers Industry Standard IVI Instrument Driver Software

MEDIA, PA August 12, 2002 - Scientific Software Tools, Inc. (SST) today announced new Interchangeable Virtual Instrument (IVI) driver software for Keithley Instruments Model 6485 Picoammeter.

The new IVI driver allows test system developers to easily access the full features of the 6485 and all supported plug-in modules using popular test development environments and programming languages such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, Visual Basic and Visual C++. The IVI driver adheres to the standards specified by the IVI Foundation, a new consortium of companies chartered with defining software standards for instrument interchangeability. The IVI Foundation consists of developers of test systems, instrument manufacturers, and systems integrators.

To help developers quickly learn the capabilities of the IVI driver, extensive Visual Basic, LabVIEW, and LabWindows/CVI source code example programs and context-sensitive on-line help are included.

The IVI driver supports Microsoft Windows 98, Windows NT/2000, Me, and Windows XP.
