FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
1/31/00
MEDIA, PA January 31, 2000 - Scientific Software Tools, Inc. (SST) today announced a
new 32-bit version of the VisualSCOPE digital storage oscilloscope application for Windows 95/98 and Windows
NT. Combined with a Keithley Instruments data acquisition board and DriverLINX driver software,
VisualSCOPE transforms a users PC into a full-featured, two-channel digital storage
oscilloscope.
VisualSCOPE allows users to measure, calculate, and save acquired waveforms. VisualSCOPE
supports two analog input channels, four signal-display channels and an alphanumeric display.
Using cursors, users can directly measure time, amplitude, and frequency values on the signals.
Using the signal calculator, users can perform automatic measurements, store data to waveform
memories, and perform signal-processing operations on the acquired data. Automatic measurements
include rise time, area under the curve, and RMS. Signal processing operations include addition,
subtraction, and multiplication of stored waveforms, frequency analysis (FFT), and filtering
operations. Captured waveforms can be stored to disk or exported to other applications by Dynamic
Data Exchange (DDE).
System requirements for running VisualSCOPE include an Intel or compatible 486DX or higher, 8
MB memory (Windows 95/98); 16 MB memory (Windows NT), Microsoft Windows 95/98 or Windows NT 4.0
or higher, and a supported Keithley Metrabyte data acquisition hardware board.
VisualSCOPE is available as a free download from SST's website.
