Scientific Software Tools, Inc. Named One of Eastern Pennsylvania's Fastest Growing Companies in Deloitte & Touche "Fast 50" Program

MEDIA, PA September 23, 2000 - Scientific Software Tools, Inc. (SST) has been named to Deloitte & Touche's prestigious "Fast 50" Program for Eastern Pennsylvania, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the area. Rankings are based on a percentage of growth in revenues from 1995-1999 (five-year period).

Scientific Software Tools, Inc's increase in revenues of 306% over the five-year period resulted in a 25th ranking overall in the Fast 50 for Eastern Pennsylvania.

To qualify for the Fast 50, companies must have had revenues of at least $50,000, in 1995 and at least $1,000,000 in 1999; must be public or private companies headquartered in eastern Pennsylvania; and be "technology companies" defined as a company that produces technology, manufactures a technology product, is technologically intensive, uses technology in problem solving, or devotes a high percentage of effort to research and development of technology.

Winners of the 21 regional Fast 50 programs in the United States are automatically entered in the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks the nation's top 500 fastest-growing technology companies.
